We have had a large volume of phone calls concerning high electric bills. While your thermostat has been set to a certain temp and has not been changed the temp of your home does change with heat outside your home. This does still affect the temperature inside your home causing the AC unit to continue to run. As of July 25, the highest temperature recorded in Nebraska City, Nebraska in 2025 is 99 °F which happened on June 21. The highest temperature recorded in Nebraska City during 2024 was 101°F on June 24th, according to the National Weather Service. We hope to see the summer days start to cool off soon!
